Clarence Brown

There was a man named Clarence Brown
Who came to town to say,
Never let the sun go down beyond your angry way.
He Looked the same as any name
Who cried out in despair,
And took the blame and all the shame for those who didn't care.

--He prayed about his angriness in the morning noon and night,
Laughing people in the dark, deceitful in the light.
No one wants to hear you when you're angry all the time.
Clarence Brown was searching for the balance of his mind--

Now and then you'll find a friend
Who'll bury you alive,
And hit you in your conscience when you're trying to survive.

Day and night should be alright
To a man like Clarence Brown,
Who rode into the sunset just to lay his anger down.
