Half The Time

©Trey Forbes

I’m living on the highlights of your station
Running my machine on food and fuel
A magazine about your dissertation
Now I now the better side of you

Half the time I’m living for the reason
Half the time I’m living for the rhyme
Every careful way in my in my reflection
Looking in the mirror of my mind

I like to drive my car into the city
And see the people living there with you
Inhabiting the stories of our buildings
Working in the garden for their food

I like to bless you early in the morning
I love you when you’re dreaming in the night
Living in an abstract way of being
Building all your castles to the sky
